Dreamt that if I was American, it would be happy. It would flood me a homeland feeling and of trust in the president Bush, with the security that this will make the necessary thing to always conquer a predominant position in the world, especially in the economic thing, what will allow to maintain the military power, consequently the political power and this in reciprocity, will be able to use the weapons to improve the economy, assuring markets, with discussion, blackmail or war.
If I was foreign, I would not worry about my President's intellectual limitations, because he has demonstrated to know how to surround and it possesses the strange instinct of those that win in politics betting strong.
Minus I would worry about their moral conditions, because if it supports him the Christian fundamentalism and the Hebraic fundamentalism, it is because something should have in the Bible that can be interpreted to endorse it or to justify it.
If I was “American”, he would have the certainty that the growth of the nation is assured, among other things, by means of the imposition of the treaty of free trade that will ruin to the rest of America of the Big River down, but that in the economic exercise of sum zero, what they will lose some it will win it “America.”
If I was North American, I would not worry about the war against Iraq and then against Iran and then against Korea, because Collin Powel and their successors, have the knowledge and necessary experience to build in the Council of Security of the United Nations, a resolution that the politics of Washington legitimates.
But for if something flaw, there those will be “Hawks”, Donald Rumsfeld or Dick Cheney, to impose to the force what is necessary with sovereignty and without negotiating the interests of the great nation.
If I was the Uncle Sam, I would not get scared to have fiscal deficit, neither scale commercial negative, neither traffickers' mafias, because U.S possesses this way now a strong economy it shows signs of weakness - that allow him to deduce great political and military power, to make to see and to diffuse what suits him, but also because it can impose the globalization so that I eat in the old Greece, flourish the “democracy”, where many work without rights so that very few they can be civic with fullness of them.
If I was yankee, he would dream of traveling for the tropical world to see the nature and people in extinction, then it would travel to the space to see me in the future of those “American.”
But I woke up and I am Colombian. As salmon, swiming against the currents. I look to my surroundings and I see most of my countrymen dreaming that they are foreign and to a minority dreaming that they are Osama.
Among so much the President doesn't defend the interests of my homeland but those of the multilateral banking, as the previous presidents. And my President is fundamentalist and everything in him, it is justifying, because he also dreams or it is made that it is foreign, or that he is Bush.
And those that dream of being Osamas, don't hear neither they give truce and they help to believe that the violence is the only exit. As George W. Bush.
And, it is that people shine as if what dreams was. It seemed that all are same because their dream is the same one: the violence.
